1969 L88 Corvette Early Production

 

This 1969 L88 Corvette convertible is an early production L88. As an early production L88 during the 1969 model year, it would have to be equipped with closed chamber aluminum cylinder heads. The open chamber cylinder heads were not available for assembly line installation until mid year in 1969. This Corvette is well documented by its tank sheet which indicates all the L88 options with the Monza red exterior and the black interior. Although shown with a white soft top, other options include a bolt on hard top, 4.11 rear gears, and redline tires. This L88 Corvette is considered to be one of the earliest L88 Corvettes produced for the 1969 model year.
